Music by George Frideric Handel, arrangement by Lee R. Kesselman
Karl Jenkins, The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace
The Armed Man was commissioned for the millennium by the U.K. Royal Armories and had its premiere in London; the music embraces time periods from the first millennium B.C. to modern times, bridging Hindu, Islamic, and Christian cultures. The Kesselman premiere is a re-thinking of three great choruses by English composer Georg Frideric Handel. Kesselman has re-scored the Handel accompaniments for various combinations of piano duet, marimbas, trap set, bells, chains, garbage can lids, and other percussion instruments. The Chorale will be accompanied by the professional members of the DuPage Chorale Orchestra. Click the following link to view the program: DuPage Chorale
