This week on Music Fridays @ Noon:  COD alumna, mezzo-soprano Kirsten O'Donnell will present a voice recital this Friday at noon in MAC 140, accompanied by pianist William Buhr. This week on Music Fridays @ Noon:  Directed by Don Skoog, the Contemporary Music Project Batá Ensemble will present a  one-hour demonstration on batá drumming and orisha song. The batá drums are the most sacred instruments of the Lucumí -- the Yorubas in Cuba -- and are fundamental to their religion, Santería, a combination of African beliefs and Catholicism. Good Afternoon Retiree, The CDAA Retirees Spring Breakfast was held this morning (18 MAR 2016) at Seven Dwarfs Restaurant.  The retirees attending were updated on the more recent activities of the CDAA Board, including the College's 50th Anniversary celebrations; the AIDOS Fundraiser; the upcoming Annual Meeting on May 6th; and upcoming officer elections and more.
